Novel Jannusi started his career as a drummer and DJ at some of the most well known clubs in Stockholm. At an age of 16 the prominent producer RedOne took him on and became his mentor. RedOne, who has become one of the worlds most well known producers, has worked with some of the biggest stars such as Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Akon, Brandy, Enrique Iglesias, Lionel Richie and Robyn, among others.
The mentorship paid out well and Novel started writing for A-teens with a result of 3,5 million sold albums of “Teen Spirit” in the US during 2001. His feeling for the pop oriented sound has made him a sought after writer and producer and he have had great success with both local and international artists. Among these we find Pop Idol Rosie Ribbons, for whom he wrote and produced the song “Blink” which became top three at the UK singles chart, the song also received massive airplay and was #1 on several radio lists. Novel has also been writing and producing for Backstreet Boys, Billie Crawford, No Authority, Kat DeLuna, Flip Side and Lionel Richie just to mention a few. In Sweden, Novel has been working with among others Idol Darin, whose album “Flashback” sold gold during its first week.
Besides RedOne, Novel has had successful collaborations with Anthor Birginsson, Max Martin and Rami, the last two are both part of the talented Swedish team Cheiron and Maratone.
Currently, Novel is writing and producing for several big projects and the future looks bright for this talented musician.
